Dayforce can customize your Journal Entry to provide enhanced reporting and ease your record keeping. It is essential we understand the structure in which your employees’ earnings and payroll expenses are allocated to produce and accurate Journal Entry. By default, most payrolls are setup with a 3-digit department code for your Journal Entry, but Dayforce can accommodate up to 16 alphanumeric characters to represent your Labour Distribution.

Prerequisites
Creating departments and IDs is related to the tasks of costing hours and earnings and organizing employees. We suggest preliminary business planning before organizing your payroll with these tools.
Consult with your business accountant if you have questions about cost centres and costed earnings.
Once you’ve gathered your information, complete the Journal Entry Report Questionnaire to request a customized journal entry report.
To journalize by distribution code or display General Ledger numbers on your report, please attach:
